In an era of political uncertainty our democracy faces heightened threats: from an outdated voting system buckling against a multi-party electorate, to the growing influence of big money and foreign billionaires. At this special parliamentary event and reception, we heard from guest speakers and MPs from across the House, about the political volatility that has become the new normal of British politics – and the steps Government can take to strengthen the resilience of our democratic system.
