Tackling disinformation and misinformation in campaigning

On Monday 27 October, we were excited to co-host this panel event in Parliament with Reform Political Advertising

In this era of disinformation protecting the integrity of our elections has never been more urgent. This discussion looked at how disinformation and misinformation in campaigning erodes public trust and distorts our democratic processes – and what can be done about it.

Chaired by Lord Puttnam, Former Chair of the House of Lords Democracy and Digital Technologies Committee and Chair of Reform Political Advertising, the panellists included:

“The truth matters. We need to challenge this now because otherwise it's only going to get worse.”Justin Madders on the need to go beyond a code of conduct for political campaigning in order to address disinformation@reformpoliticalads.bsky.social
